Dhramshala

Grand construction work of Swami Sudarshanacharya Dharamshala in Sauron (U.P.) has been completed. There is a comprehensive mention of the grandeur of Sauron in hundred & twenty second chapter of Varah Puran. According to the opinion of historians Varah area (Kokamukteerath) in present times is known as Sauron. The great Aadivarah, who won over in battle and killed Hyrnakush, there by doing a great service to mankind, was born on this pilgrimage land of Sauron. Sauron is also known for its association with several religious Sampradayas, many known Saints and Mahants and has been hub of religious activities since ancient era. Ancient scriptures have mention of this place as a land where Saint Narhari Das, Guru of Saint Tulsidas got Saint Tulsidas to study Ramcharitmanas. Sauron being located on the banks of river Bhagirathi (river Ganga) enhances the importance of this city. Sentimental devotees after taking bath in the holy river make offerings to the ancestors and thus get mental and spiritual peace. Besides religious importance of Sauron as per "Purans" its significance is conspicuous in social and overall religious ceremonies.

Owing to the historical importance of Sauron from religious point of view, people from Rajasthan and adjoining areas perform Pinddaan ceremony (offerings to ancestors) and immerse the ashes of the dead at this place. Following the tradition, Ashes of Vaikunthvasi Srimad Jagadguru Ramanujacharya Swami Sudarshanacharya Ji (GuruMaharaj) were also immersed here.

For serving the humanity & adhering to the Vedic tradition of hospitality, Dharamshala has been constructed in the memory of Pujya Swami Sudarshanacharya ji Maharaj at Sauron. Inauguration of Dharamshala and Pranpratishtha (imparting life into the idol) ceremony was performed here by GuruMaharaj’s son and disciple Srimad Jagadguru Ramanujacharya Swami Purushottamacharya Ji Maharaj on 12 Nov 2010. Located centrally in Sauron this grand Dharamshala is itself eulogizing its glory. Thousands of people visiting Sauron every day from outside places have been benefitting from this Dharamshala constructed in the memory of GuruMaharaj. Rooms and other facilities of the Dharamshala are made available free of cost to all those visiting. Dharamshala is operated and administered through Janhit Seva charitable trust of Shri Sidhdata Ashram.
