Five-day fifteenth Brahmotsavam begins at Shri Sidhdata Ashram

The five-day 15th Brahmotsavam celebrations at Shri Siddhadata Ashram started today as per the rules of law. This event will go on till May 7 in which scholars of Sri Ramanuja sect from South India will organize five days of worship, havan, bhandara, rath yatras etc.

The Brahmotsavam started today in the presence of Lord Jagadguru Ramanujacharya Swami Shri Purushottamacharya Ji Maharaj in Sri Siddhadata Ashram, who believes in the South Indian Ramanuja faith, in which sprouting, flag hoisting, fire consecration, Bheri Puja and deity invocation were organized. The priests performed the puja in the typical Dakshina style. After the invocation of the deity, the Lord will be worshiped in different ways for the next four days.

In this, Sudarshan Yagya on May 4, wedding of Lord Shri Laxminarayan on May 5, Maha Abhishek and procession on Shri Ramanuja Jayanti on May 6 and huge procession on May 7 with Lord Shri Laxminarayan and all other deities, followed by cultural programs, discourses and Bhandara. will be organized. In this, a huge Kalash Yatra will also be taken out on May 6 and 7, for which fortunate women will take part in the procession by carrying hundreds of Kalash.

In Sri Vaishnava tradition, Brahmotsavam is celebrated as a kind of foundation day. Through this event, the deities of God and other deities are again empowered. The Brahmotsavam of Shri Siddhadata Ashram begins every year on Akshaya Tritiya and lasts for five days. The Dean of the Ashram, Shrimad Jagadguru Ramanujacharya Swami Shri Purushottamacharya Ji Maharaj told that the devotees wait throughout the year to attend the Brahmotsavam of the Ashram. Therefore, the preparations for this event are also special, to fulfill which the family members are engaged for a long time before the event. He asked all the residents to actively participate in this event.
