01-01-2023

Beloved, don't make the mistake of considering the Guru as a body. Guru is not a body, he is the essence of the Guru. Bodies go away but the element remains forever. Jagadguru Swami Shri Purushottamacharya Ji Maharaj said this in his discourse at the New Year and Birthday celebrations organized at Shri Siddhadata Ashram. Today, on his birthday, lakhs of disciple families from the country and the world come to Shri Siddhadata Ashram on January 1.

Guruji said that considering the Guru as his body, we get engrossed in his qualities and faults and that is the reason why we are unable to master the path shown by him and remain trapped in troubles throughout our life. Shri Guru Maharaj said that there is great glory of Naam in Kali Yuga, when a person becomes engrossed in Naam, God starts chanting his name. He said that devotion, name and satsang are received only by those who are blessed by God. We get a Guru only by the grace of God. When this happens in our life, then we should thank God and just take the words of the teachers in life.

He wished Happy New Year to all the devotees present and the devotees also expressed their feelings by singing the song Happy Birthday to You Guruji.

Earlier, Jagadguru Swami Shri Purushottamacharya Ji Maharaj prayed for public welfare in front of Lord Lakshminarayan in Shri Lakshminarayan Divyadham and Vaikunthavasi Swami Sudarshanacharya Ji Maharaj at the Samadhi Sthal. On this occasion, hundreds of balloons were released in the sky to congratulate Shri Guru Maharaj on his birthday. Chacha Sudama, Balacharya Swami, Mukesh Dagar, Advocate Vikas Verma, Advocate Vikas Verma etc. warmly welcomed him in the program. Singers Lokesh Sharma, Jagdish Somani etc. from Jaipur presented melodious bhajans and troupe Madhuban Art from Delhi mesmerized everyone with cultural presentations.
