Myriads of devotees gathered on the second day of Guru Purnima celebrations at the Divine Abode of Shri Sidhdata Ashram Shri LakshmiNarayan Divya Dham in Surajkund on Monday the 22nd of July.

The devotees showed their gratitude filled with reverence towards Param Pujya Guru Maharaj Ji by means of mellifluous bhajans.

Shri Guruji, Anant Shri Vibhushit Indraprastha & Haryana Peethadheeshwar Srimad Jagadguru Ramanujacharya Shri Purushottamacharya Ji Maharaj addressed the devotees on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima. During his discourse on the second day of the Guru Purnima celebrations Guruji said that the Guru is a benevolent and divine aspect and we must never associate him to a human body. The divine element of the Guru never dies and his devotees truly always experience his benevolence and graciousness in each and every aspect of their lives.

While doing a task if even for a split second one feels that none must know of this deed then one must clearly understand that one is about to do a misdeed which is wrong. This is an indication to save you from doing a sinful act. There is no better place than a Guru's refuge to protect oneself from doing misdeeds. To be free from metempsychosis one will have to take a Guru's safe haven. We must assimilate that the Guru brings the light of true wisdom into our lives and at the same time dispels the darkness of ignorance too.

Guruji mentioned about the well-known speech of Swami Vivekananda in America for which he was widely appreciated. An American photographer had gifted Swamiji a framed photo of him. He then pointed to the image of a man with beard behind Swamiji in the framed photo and asked who he was as there was no one else apart from Swamiji on the stage at that time. Swamiji looked at the photo and immediately did prostration and said that the person behind him in the photo is his Guru Ramtirth Paramhans, who is always with him. The photographer was astonished that how could a person thousands of kilometers away from America be visible in the photograph. This is the glory of the Guru.

Guruji Maharaj used Bhajans like Tu Jahan Jahan chalega mera saya saath hoga to explain the glory of the Guru to all the devotees present.

Devotees Pooji (Vinod) Vaswani from Nigeria and Gobind Vaswani from Dubai respectively talked about the programs being undertaken by the devotees internationally. Haryana Labour & Employment minister Pandit Shivcharan Lal Sharma also paid his sincere homage and prayed at the Guru Darbar on this occasion.

Famous singer Sanjay Parikh from Jaipur kept the devotees in high spirits by means of mellifluous bhajans. On this occasion devotees from India and abroad showed their gratitude towards Guruji by dancing to the tunes of bhajans like Kismat chahe kaisi bhi ho tum sabke kaam banate ho – bhavsagar Mein atki naiya paar lagate ho, tere dar par roz hi lagti bhagto ki kataar - kaisa sunder lagta hai baba ka dawar, tune khoob diya Sarkar – tera bahot bada upkaar etc.

The Celebrations at the Shri Sidhdata Ashram with the conformity of Guru Maharaj and His Holy Presence truly made the Auspicious Day of Guru Purnima even more Sacramental.
