The 5 day celebrations of the 11th Brahmotsav Festival of Shri Sidhdata Ashram commenced in accordance with Vedic rituals & traditions.

Today, the celebration of Brahmotsav commenced at Shri Sidhdata Ashram with the conformity & in the divine presence of Shrimad Jagadguru Ramanujacharya Swami Shri Purushottamacharya Ji Maharaj who strongly believes in the South Indian doctrine, in which Ankuraropam (sowing of seeds to signify fertility, prosperity & abundance) is performed, Dhvajarohana,” the hoisting of the Garuda flag at the Dhvajastambham , Fire Consecration , Bheri (kettledrum )worship and devotion is organized. The priests performs the Lord’s worship in the typical South Indian Vedic style. After the Gods are invoked, the Supreme Lord will be worshiped in various Vedic ways during the next four sacred days.

In this, Sudarshan Yagna will be held on April 19, the divine wedding of Lord Shri Lakshmi Narayan on 20th April, Shobhayatra on Shri Ramanuja Jayanti on 21st April, and on 22nd April, a grand exhibition will be organized with Lord Sri LakshmiNarayan and all other divine deities.

In the Vaishnava tradition, Brahmotsav is celebrated as a kind of an Establishment Day.
